Rumors is a farce which is a light dramatic
composition marked by broadly satirical comedy with an improbable plot. Comedy
is the key word. The play was first performed on Broadway in 1989. The
play is about a group of friends who go to Myra & Charley Brock's house to
celebrate Myra & Charley's 10th wedding anniversary. However, Myra doesn't show
up, and Charley has been shot. Rumors begin to float around as to what has
happened.
