Fifth grade families it's time to start thinking about middle school! On Tuesday, March 19th, Conrad Music will be at the middle school band room for your child to try out the different band instruments, see where band class is held, and meet the band teachers, Mrs. Gordon and Mr. Jaurequi! Conrad Music will be on hand to set up rentals or Mrs. Gordon can make a note to have a school instrument available in August.

This is a reminder that NHCS will be in session on Monday, February 19th, 2024. School will be closed on Monday, April 8th, 2024 due to the solar eclipse.

Robertson Crushed Stone donated gravel for the gaga ball pit at Morgan Elementary. The delivery came today and was very entertaining for the students on recess. Mrs. Sauerheber's landscape class will be doing the ground prep tomorrow with the help of Eric Stroud, and Mr Murphy's construction classes will assemble the structure on Thursday. We appreciate the gravel donation and the work of Mr. Stroud and all of our classes making this possible!

Attention, adventurers! Our Book Blast event starts next week where we will set off in search of treasure to build our students' home libraries. Follow the steps on the Treasure Map coming home next week to embark on an epic quest to earn exciting rewards and books.

This is a reminder that NHCS Fall Break begins on Friday, October 6 (no students). School will resume on Monday, October 16.

Free Blue River Preschool Program! Please see the information below to enroll in Blue River Service’s free preschool program for students of North Harrison Community Schools. This is open to students for NHE and Morgan Elementary. 1. Families wanting financial assistance to enroll in the preschool program should start by visiting www.onmywayprek.org to apply for funding. Even if your household is on the borderline of the income requirements, we still recommend applying. We also offer funding through the Harrison County Community Foundation and private pay options for those who may not qualify for free services. 2. Call Blue River Services and speak with Preschool Coordinator, Alicia Booker to receive an enrollment packet for the preschool program. 3. Turn in all required documents for funding and the preschool enrollment packet.
