The Indiana Department of Education announced their STEM certified schools for 2024-2025. We are excited to share that North Harrison High School was among the 16 schools certified as leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics! The certification is for school years 2025-2030. 📣Important information regarding Preschool Enrollment for the 2026 school year! 📣

Due to the impending weather forecast, all after school activities, including the after school program, will be over at 5:00 this afternoon. Morgan students on the field trip to Conner Prairie will also arrive back to Morgan at 5:00 instead of 6:00.

The North Harrison Community Schools board of trustees is looking for an educational leader with substantial experience as a teacher and building leader. Superintendent, administrative and central office experience is highly preferred. In addition, the next superintendent must be a strong leader and provide the following: • Be accountable for positive student outcomes. • Be a collaborative leader who will follow through and support STEM and CTE initiatives, as well as seek growth in all areas of the organization. • Be willing to be a part of the community and the face of the corporation. • A relationship builder who will work to bring the administration, staff, students, and community together. • Possess the ability to assess the current administrative team, grow leadership in others, and place people in the areas where they will be most successful. • Perform annual evaluations on staff Work to foster and grow a positive culture at North Harrison Schools. • Work closely with the board to establish a strategic direction for the corporation's future. • Have a strong financial foundation to lead the corporation forward within its means. FREE Summer Meals for any person 18 years of age and younger! You can do curbside pickup every Monday from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm beginning on June 2 and running through August 4. There are two convenient locations to choose from. Anyone planning to take advantage of the Summer Nutrition program at South Harrison called SUN Meals to Go will need to sign up through this website https://www.shcsc.k12.in.us/page/food-services. A menu for each of the weeks is also available at this site. Please go to the SHCSC Summer 2025 Parent/Guardian Pickup Survey on the webpage or use this link. This will allow the staff to prepare the number of meals needed for your family. If you do not complete the survey ahead of time, all of your children must be present with you when you pick up your meals.

North Harrison Community Schools are looking to hire a full time and part time custodian. The full time custodian will work the night shift when school is in session and then work the day shift when school is on break. The part time position is for for a night custodian. Emily Dodson from the Harrison County Swim Team Board for the Hammerheads would like to invite any student in grades K-12 to join them this summer. If you are interested see the attached image for more information on where to register and who to contact if there are questions.

Morgan Elementary school will be closed on Wednesday, April 9th due to the sewer issues in Palmyra. A synchronous eLearning day will take place for Morgan students. ALL other schools will operate on a normal schedule. Morgan district buses will run for grades 6-12 students. Contact your school with any questions.

All Schools will be closed on Monday, April 7th due to flooding. In addition, the flooding has caused sewer issues in the Palmyra area. A synchronous eLearning day with live instruction will take place. Students need to follow the daily schedule sent from each school. Attendance will be taken via Google Meets.

Spring Break is next week (March 24th-March 28th). We will return to school on Monday, March 31st. Enjoy your time away and be safe!
