Our 8th graders had their graduation practice this morning! They are ready for the official ceremony tomorrow, Tuesday, May 23! Graduation will be held in the North Harrison Middle School gym at 10 am. 🎓💙🎓💙🎓💙🎓💙

Mr. Rawert's 6th grade Science Classes participated in their annual egg drop. Prior to the drop pairs of students worked to create a cradle that would protect the egg once it landed.

NHMS 8th graders enjoyed their class trip to Holiday World last Friday!

We are celebrating a 34 year tradition at NHE. Over the past 34 years, the children of North Harrison Elementary have raised nearly$600,000 for Norton's Children's Hospital. These are pictures of over half of our students whose families raised $100 or more. Philanthropy at its best.

NHMS Jr. Honor Society enjoyed their end of the year trip to Top Golf today.

Last Friday, Mr. Needham's classes completed their debates on the United Nations!

NHE 4th graders have been working with area and perimeter to create town maps from a bird's eye view. Mrs. Wagner's class is showing off their finished product. Five different groups each created a different part of the town, and then we put them all together. The last two pictures are all four cities combined!

Congratulations to this years NHMS Triple "A" Award winners Reese Schneider, Landon Page, and Brody Whittaker! These 8th grade students were chosen as they excelled in three categories: Academics, Athletics, and Attitude. 👏💙

Today is the day! Congratulations to all of our graduates! We are so proud of each and every one of you!
Graduation takes place in the NHHS gym starting at 1:00 PM.

It was Hawaiian/ tourist day at NHE and a great way to end Miss Winn's around the world unit. The 5th graders "traveled" around the world and did context clue challenges, while learning new things about each place they visited.

The Class of 2023 practiced for their graduation ceremony this morning. We would love to have a crowd to celebrate the accomplishments of the seniors on Sunday, May 21 at 1:00 pm. 🎓👩‍🎓👨‍🎓💙

On Tuesday, NHE 4th graders traveled to Angel Mounds State Historic Site in Evansville, IN for a special extended day field trip! What started out as a very rainy morning, turned out to be a beautiful day to learn about the Mississippian Native American culture.

On Wednesday, NHE 4th graders participated in Game Day! They brought games from home to share with friends and we had a fantastic day together playing them all!

2nd grade at NHES worked in small groups to design and build bridges! They were not only architects, but engineers! They had to develop a “blue print” and build from their ideas.

Last Week the NHE 4th graders attended a field trip to downtown Corydon. They explored Governor Hendricks' House, the Capitol Building, and Zimmerman's Art Glass. They enjoyed lunch and some play time at Rice Island Park. Then they finished off the field trip with a bus tour of some other areas around Corydon, including the Leora Brown School, Cedar Hill Cemetery, the Constitution Elm, and Big Indian Creek. What a gorgeous day spent in our small town of Corydon!

The Kentucky Science Center and SamTec representatives visited Mr. Cherry's classroom to host their showcase of the STEM cart. The event lasted about 30 minutes. During that time the students rotated and were engaged in different activities from the cart. The students did an amazing job talking with the guests, answering questions, and telling them all about the things they have learned. It was an impressive presentation! Thanks to Mr. Cherry for all of the hard work he put in to secure the grant and then make it a centerpiece in many of his lessons!

North Harrison Elementary has a NEW Playground! It seemed like it took forever to complete, but the playground is finished and it is awesome!

2nd grade at NHES worked in small teams to design and build an egg protector, using only straws and tape! For Round 1 trials, SRO Hutchinson was our official tester, dropping them off his truck! Many made it to round 2 testing!
